About this massage
The Bars treatment, also known as Access Bars®, is an innovative relaxation and therapeutic method developed by Gary Douglas in the 1990s as part of the broader Access Consciousness® program. It involves gently touching 32 points on the head that correspond to various aspects of life, such as money, control, creativity, communication, the body, sexuality, aging, joy, and sadness. It is believed that by stimulating these points, it is possible to release blocked energies that create limitations in different areas of life.
The Bars procedure is designed to reduce stress, promote deep relaxation, improve concentration and overall well-being, and may assist in better navigating emotional and mental blocks. Practitioners of this method claim that the treatment can lead to significant life changes, enhancing physical and emotional health, as well as interpersonal relationships and one’s capacity to experience joy in life.
A session typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, during which the client lies on their back, fully clothed, while the practitioner gently touches specific points on the head, inducing a state of deep relaxation. Many clients describe the experience as highly relaxing; some even fall asleep during the session. The effects can vary from person to person and may include improved sleep, reduced tension and stress, and a deeper sense of calm and mental clarity.
Proponents view Access Bars as a powerful tool for personal development and healing; however, it should be noted that—as with many alternative therapies—the benefits may vary depending on individual experiences and expectations.
